From the first estimate to the last installation day, Right Step Flooring was communicative, detailed, and made saying yes to them incredibly easy. During the estimate process, Ben worked with me to figure out the best options when we encountered hiccups with the supply chain to ensure the project would be completed to satisfaction. He took his time walking though every room to give me the most accurate estimate possible, so there would be very few, if any, surprises during installation. He answered every call or text I sent with questions and made sure I was completely comfortable with the quote before I said yes.

The entire team worked quickly to get me scheduled and when materials were delayed, were able to work around those hiccups. Over the multi-day installation, Franklin, Brian, and Oscar were kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. When they encountered uneven floors and old linoleum underneath the existing floor, they kept me updated and helped me make the best decisions in the moment for the project. They were also incredibly respectful of my home, making sure to clean up every day without fail, even when they knew they would be back the next day (something other companies I used for additional work did not do). Lucas (the owner) even did the final walkthrough with me himself and gave me recommendations on the best cleaning options to keep my new floors maintained.

I hired this company for a master bathroom tile installation. While the final tile work itself was well done, the overall experience was disorganized and frustrating.

The sales process set expectations that were not met. I was told the job would be completed in one day and that a project manager would be assigned, neither of which happened.

After the deposit was paid, communication dropped off and I had to repeatedly follow up to get updates and confirmations.

Scheduling was inconsistent. Crews arrived on incorrect days and at times appeared unaware of the job details, despite the address and order information being in the system. At every appointment they were chronically late, and/or communicated hours after the time set.

On the scheduled workday, the team arrived late and did not have all necessary materials, which caused delays and pushed the project into a second day. There was also an attempt to use a grout color I had not approved, which I had to correct.

On the second day, work extended past the agreed stop time, and I had to step in to end the day’s work.

There was also minor damage to the bathroom wall during the process. The owner acknowledged this and said it would be repaired, but the follow-up appointment was missed without communication, and I will now need to arrange repairs separately.

The installer, Juan, did excellent work and was professional throughout, and I did share that feedback directly with the owner.

Overall, due to the lack of communication, coordination, and follow-through, I would not recommend this company.

After a dishwasher installation gone wrong left me with water damage across my downstairs, I needed a flooring contractor to piece it back together so my life could return to normal. Lucas Queiroz at Right Step Flooring did just that.

My original floors were a builder-grade vinyl plank with an HDF core — the kind that looks decent at first but doesn't hold up well to moisture. When water got underneath, several planks delaminated and the damage extended from the kitchen through the living area. I decided it was time to upgrade rather than patch.

Lucas came out, measured precisely, and walked me through my options. He was knowledgeable, patient, and straightforward — no upselling, just honest guidance. I went with Pergo Extreme Originals in Montford, a warm medium-brown SPC-core plank with a 22-mil wear layer and WetProtect surface protection. A significant upgrade over what the builder installed.

What set Right Step apart was the fully turnkey experience. Lucas handled everything: supplying all materials, removing and hauling the existing flooring, installing Whisper Step underlayment, laying the new floor, and finishing with white primed quarter round and paint. I didn't have to coordinate multiple contractors, source materials separately, or chase down loose ends. One point of contact, one company accountable for the entire project.

The finished result is beautiful. The Montford color transformed the feel of the whole downstairs, and the quality difference between SPC-core and my old HDF-core planks is immediately noticeable underfoot. Couldn't be happier with Lucas and Right Step Flooring. Highly recommend.

I needed a hardwood floor repair done and I had called quite a few floor companies who either didn't call me back or had me text them pictures of damaged floor section and then never called me back. Due to a burst pipe, I had to have the floor in the entire house pulled out and replaced. Right Step helped me find the best flooring option for my circumstances. Right Step Flooring did a phenomenal job installing our flooring. The owner, Lucas was very knowledgeable, informative, and patient with my wife and I, as we debated on the type,.color,.etc., of flooring we wanted. He initially brought samples to our home to help with our decision process. When we weren't sure on our decision, he suggested we come to their showroom where they have many more options to consider. Once we finally selected the floors we wanted, he allowed us bring a sample home to view the floor in varying light during the day and night. Once we agreed on our selection, we worked with Daniel (Project Mgr.).

Daniel was fantastic, he communicated with us each morning, informing us what time the installation crew would arrive. He also, came to our home several times during the installation to view the progress first hand, and ensure we were happy with everything. The installers were also great, they worked non-stop, addressed all of our questions. They were also very good at cleaning up their work site each evening after their day was complete.

As a customer it was nice to work with a company that provided A1 service and communication from start to finish. We have recommended Right Step Flooring to our friends, and would definitely call them again for future projects.

We hired Right Step to do a complex job involving replacing the tile in our kitchen to match the existing hardwood in the rest of the house. That meant laying three different sizes of planks in a specific pattern and identifying a difficult to match stain. What I love about Right Step is that they blend a high level of expertise with a family owned company that stands behind their work. Everyone we worked with seemed expert in their craft. Additionally, no matter how difficult the job was, they worked with us every step (pun intended) of the way to ensure the workmanship was top notch and the floor looks AMAZING as a result. We needed a very small area of our hardwood floors replaced and restained. We had a hard time finding a company to help us as our job was so small. Right Flooring was not only able to help us but did a really awesome job. The materials that this company uses are excellent. We had two installations done by them, and we are very impressed with the durability. However, as far as the projects go, both times we needed to be hands on in serving as quality control at different stages of the process. For example, on both projects, there was not someone to check the job that the painter the company sent over to do the caulking and painting the stair risers. The painter left after the caulking and painting was done (assuming we were happy) but it would have been nice if someone with a professional lens were doing some of this quality assurance/project management work rather than us having to educate ourselves on it, and serve in that role. It was a bit of a hands off approach that this company took once the deal was closed, and it felt like there was mainly reactive engagement when things went wrong (rather than being proactive).

I can’t believe that Right step was able to take a damaged vinyl laminate plank out of the middle of the floor and replace it. In the past to replace a plank meant removing planks from the wall all the way up to that plank. The replaced plank looks exactly like the rest of the floor. Also, they responded Immediately with a very reasonable quote and had somebody out at my house within three hours. The work was done in less than an hour. I can’t say enough for you all. Recently we renewed our hardwood floors downstairs, adding new hardwood in the living room, upstairs hallway and the master bedroom. Right Step Flooring did an excellent job sanding the existing hardwood and installing new ones.
The owner, Jucas Queiroz, and his team were professional and attended to all our concerns. Jucas came over several times and made sure the project exceeded even our expectations.

Entire experience was great. Tom the sales rep came by and explained the differences between the different types of flooring options. I selected Mohawk LVP. The I compared prices with other companies and found price comparable.

Appointment was set for install. Work crew showed up on time and completed the job in 2 days. They were professional and courteous the entire time. Answered and fully explained any questions I had about the process. The supervisor came by following morning to inspect the work and talked with me if I had any concerns (I didn't). Overall I'm happy with the service and product. Would recommend Right Step Flooring to anyone seeking new floors.

Excellent work!!! I was in a real bind...needed to quickly put my house on the market. I stained a hardwood floor myself abd ruined it They came the say after I called them. Came one morning, stripped my floor and refinished it and I was walking on my new, beautiful floor at 7:30 p.m. No dust, no mess. Incredible!!!

First time using Right Step Flooring. We had them come in and pull up and put back some LVP in a bedroom and adjoining hallway. The removal was very fast but they were also very careful to not damage any of the LVP they pulled up so they could re-use it (it’s not manufactured anymore) And the install went smooth and honestly it looks so good if I didn’t tell you we had them pull up the flooring and put it back up you would never know! Very happy with the quality of work, the speed and everyone was great to work with. Thank You!

My Right Step Flooring sales experience was great. When it came to installation day they started off slow and I was not at all happy as I was promised the install would be done that same day and it appeared there was no way this was going to happen.. I was able to connect with the owner Lukas and he assured me he would make it right. Within a couple of hours I had a team of five highly skilled mechanics show up to get the job done! And they did it and wrapped before 6PM! The workmanship, cleanliness and friendly attitude of the team was a pleasant experience. Kudos to RSFing for a job well done. Very satisfied customer.
