Who Is Dejha Queiroz?

Dejha is the design leader behind the material standards, product strategy and visual direction at Right Step Flooring, serving homeowners across Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the greater North Carolina Triangle. Since co-founding the company with Lucas in 2017, she has helped shape how materials are researched, compared and selected for each project.

Her experience covers hardwood flooring, engineered wood, luxury vinyl plank, tile, carpet, natural stone, cabinetry, paint and surrounding finishes. Through hands-on project involvement, manufacturer education, industry events and product research, she has built a strong understanding of how materials are made, how they perform in real homes and whether they offer lasting quality, durability and value.

Dejha considers colour, texture, scale, lighting, architecture, maintenance needs, traffic demands and lifestyle before recommending a selection. She looks beyond individual samples to understand how each material will work with nearby finishes, support daily use and fit the long-term vision for the home.

We had a great experience with Right Step. They came to my house with samples and gave me a quote. Employees were friendly and easy-going. I was not pressured at all! They were fast: about a two week wait for install after I paid the deposit and only a one day installation. They were also half the cost of all the other companies who quoted us, and they included more than others, such as reinstalling our toilet and providing new baseboards to replace our warped ones. The man who did the installation stayed while I inspected his work and quickly fixed a few minor issues I noticed. Seriously great people to work with! The floor (LVP) looks incredible too.

After many months years of looking at dull and very dark cherry hardwood floors, I decided to start the refinishing project. I anticipated a long, difficult process and the prospect of being out of my home for a lengthy period. Right Step Flooring is a great company to work with. They helped us select a nice product and were very informative about the various flooring options. We had to schedule the flooring replacement around a foundation repair by another company, which ended up taking longer than we expected, and Right Step was very flexible and easy to work with. The finished product ended up being great and we appreciate the excellent customer service every step of the way.

We needed to have all hardwoods on our first floor and front stairs re sanded and stained. This included our downstairs bathroom in which they also changed out the vanity. Needless to say this was a very big job, but their service team worked together to make sure everything was seamless and professionally executed. They also provided an awesome team of movers to move all furniture, including a piano, with exquisite care. We have used other flooring companies in the past and Right Step is definitely a step above the rest. We 100% recommend Right Step Flooring for anyone with flooring needs!
